Ever since I found out about Goddess Circe and Alex’s escape from her web, I knew I wanted to try writing some Sci-fi to go with the Folk Horror novella “Night Walkers.” Then that is, for the curious, what the novella “Night Walkers” is about and a certain prophecy about the new Lilith. So this is “Night Walkers” updated, combined with a more action-oriented story about weapons, human sacrifice and treachery. This one was weird for me because I usually don’t write about weapons or fighting, I think it got it off my chest though I still have a lot of shyness and kinky feelings about this subject.
It was twenty-one hours since they lifted their feet from the ocean and this time Charlie wished it could be longer but he knew she would be tired after the late night and early morning. The ship had sailed a few hours ago and she wondered would there be any land in sight? Where they were headed for? She hoped they would not miss their window of opportunity too much. They could lose it every day for the rest of their lives. That was how she pictured their new lives. But they would know now. They had nothing to go back to.
She gazed at Alex that night in the dining room and hoped he could see the relief in her eyes. She stretched her hand out and grazed the fine hairs on his chest. “You shouldn’t be roaming the halls here.”
An evil smile spread across Alex’s lips. “Who me? Oh no. It’s not so easy to sneak around these parts. You could have killed me.”
Charlie cocked her head to the side. “So you trust that guy? She rubbed her hands on her dress. “I’m sure you’ve been given many chances to get rid of me.”
Alex relaxed his arms around her. “Thanks for the compliment.”
